Freedom

All of her decisions are yet to be made. Every new day brings new learning, new connections between this and that. Smile and happy. Up and flying. Sound and action. She has a whole world to learn about: the simple things and the incomprehensible. She does not care what you think. Soaring through the air in her father’s strong hands, she experiences this day as an entirely new experience and reacts only from the way she feels in this moment. Too young to have the baggage of memories, too young to know how to care about the future, she is immersed in right here and right now. The ocean air feels cool on her face, the roar of the waves sets a steady rhythm, and she has freedom in her smile.
